Obituary of Michel Arthur Cossette

COSSETTE – Michel Arthur (Mike, Mitch) of Port Stanley passed away peacefully with family at his side at the St Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the age of 70. Son of the late Louis Cossette and the late Jean D'arc (Lalonde) Cossette, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gayle (Gardiner) Cossette, his daughter Stacey Goebel (Jeff) and son, Matt Cossette (Julie) all of St Thomas; grandchildren Regan, Austen, Tess, and Gwen; siblings late Monique Harnois (2024), Marguerite Chubry, Diane Reiach, Raymond Cossette and late Marcel Cossette.  Mike is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.   Mike will be remembered as a hardworking provider who enjoyed cars, music and was always ready to help with a project. He loved playing the guitar with family and making a joke.  Mike showed great dedication during his long career in Truck Manufacturing and Maintenance Management at Central Transport, Stirling, Navistar and Penske.  After a lengthy but courageous 8+ year battle with cancer, Mike was finally called home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Saviour. Remembered with love.  "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. REVELATION 21:4."
