Obituary of Bob Gray

GRAY – Robert “Bob” Donald of St Thomas passed away peacefully at the St Thomas-Elgin General Hospital with family at his side on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the age of 74.  Beloved husband of Sharon Gray (nee Passmore).  Bob is survived by his children Ryan Gray (Nastassia Michael) of Toronto, Darren Gray of St Thomas and Amanda Dieter (Brice) of Jamestown, NY; grandchildren Zaya, Meghan, Declan, John, Jude, James and Joel.  Bob will be missed by his mother Jean Gray, siblings Lucille Oke (late Paul) and Susan Bengen (Ludwig); sibling-in-laws Paul Passmore, Beth Cooper and Keith Passmore and many nieces, nephews and extended family.  The family of Bob would like to thank the staff at Valleyview Day Program where Bob enjoyed attending every Monday.  A special thank you to the 4th floor staff at STEGH for Bob’s excellent care and for the compassion and kindness extended to the family while he was in palliative care.  A very special thank you to the PSW’s for their excellent care and support of Bob over the last three years.  Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  If desired, donations to Parkinson Society and St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
