Obituary of Harry Robert Muir

With sadness in our hearts, we share the news that Harry Muir Sr passed away Saturday, April 29th, 2023, at St Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, at the age of 80 years. Born and raised in Westville, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his parents Archie Muir and Maude (nee Boates) Muir, brothers William (Billy), Joe and Gordon. Beloved husband of 56 years to Susan Muir (nee Cormier). Loving father to Tania Nichol, Susan Thomas and Harry Muir Jr. A Papa to Amanda Shervill, Jessika Nichol, Max and Molly Clift, Nolan and Shae Muir. Great Papa to Mellody Fraser and Parker Shervill. Harry was a veteran of the 2nd Royal Canadian Regiment, a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, member of the Lions Club in Port Stanley and owner operator of The Inground Sprinkler People up until his retirement. He was a talented woodworker, enjoyed the outdoors, loved to play board games and darts. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports and cheering for the Blue Jays.
There will be a private family internment. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 598, 11577 Longwoods Rd, Delaware ON, N0L 1E0, from 6-8pm, all are welcome.
