IMRE- Zsuzsanna “Susan” Imre of St. Thomas passed away at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital with courage and dignity after a long struggle with cancer.  Susan will be remembered and missed by her daughter Eva Knowler of Chatham; by her 2 grandchildren: Jamie Adams (Jordan) of Sarnia and Ryan Knowler (Shai Lynn) of Dresden along with 2 great grandsons, Nicholas and Brooks; and by her partner Herschel de Jong.  Predeceased by her husband Andy Wenhardt (2018) and Maxy her favorite pet (2022).  Susan was born in Szekszárd, Hungary to the late Janosh and Katalin Imre.  She was a wonderful woman with a fascinating life.  In Hungary, Susan was director of an orphanage and also worked hard to become successful in the insurance industry as a professional, demanding but personable manager.  After immigrating to Canada, she found her way to St. Thomas and worked at Magna International as an inspector before moving on to working as a Para-Transit driver in St. Thomas.  A celebrating of Susan’s life will be held in the Farley Hall at the CASO Station 750 Talbot Street, St. Thomas on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm.  For those who are unable to attend, the service will be available through Zoom or livestream on Susan’s tribute page on the Simplicity Cremation website. Donations in memory of Susan can be made to the London Regional Cancer Program.  Arrangements entrusted to Simplicity Cremation in St. Thomas.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.simplicity-cremation.ca
