Obituary of Ralph Chute

CHUTE – “Ralph” Alexander, of St. Thomas passed away at home with his family by his side on Friday, April 10, 2026 at the age of 84.  Predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend Linda Chute (nee Wilcox) (2019).  Dearly loved father of Vicky Banks (Scott) and Scott Chute. Cherished grandfather of Zachary (Taylor), Connor (Bri), Jordan (Hailey), Kaiden (Klara) and great grandfather of Luke Banks and late great-granddaughter Autumn Banks (2024).  Dear brother of Helen Knight and Donna Dolan (John) and brother-in-law of Sandy Gore, Bill & Sue Wilcox, Ann Sheppard (late) and Nancy Robertson (late).  Ralph will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ralph was born on December 9, 1941 in St. Thomas, son of late Ross and Marion Chute.

He was retired from Accuride Canada and had worked at Clark Equipment/VME for 25 years.  Ralph enjoyed golfing, tinkering on lawnmowers, woodworking and crafts with Linda.

The family would like to thank Dr.Ikafia, Dr. Bolzon, Charlene (Ontario Health at Home), Ryan, RPN,  the Care Partners and VON nurses, especially Nathan.

In keeping with Ralph’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.  Cremation has taken place.   Arrangements entrusted to Simplicity Cremation, 750 Talbot Street, Suite #203 St. Thomas N5P 1E2 (226-210-1086).
