Obituary of Betty McNea

McNEA – Elizabeth “Betty” Louise (nee Miles) of St. Thomas passed away peacefully, with family by her side at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the age of 66.  She is survived by her children David Mills (Sabrina) and Stacey Mills (Bobby Tancredi); grandchildren Madison, Taylor, Mackenzie, Dylan, Brady and Anthony.  Betty will be missed by her brother Rick Miles (Vanda), by her sister Anne Torek; and by many nieces, nephews and extended family.  Predeceased by her parents John and Madeline Miles; siblings Binnie Buys, Robert Miles and Pat Miles.  Betty owned and operated the Springfield General Store for many years and later worked at Tim Hortons until her retirement.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Simplicity Cremation 203-750 Talbot Street, St. Thomas, N5P 1E2 (226-210-1086).  Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Betty’s life on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the St. Thomas Roadhouse Bar and Grill 837 Talbot Street, St. Thomas.  Please consider making a donation to the Humane Society London Middlesex in memory of Betty, or share a memory at www.simplicity-cremation.ca.
